They get me really drunk at this party… i love this place!

Bringing together two music personalities, Miss Badkiss (GER/PH) & Angelo Mendez(US/PH). Latin sizzlers, broken beats bangers and funk stompers served with a twist. Open your ears and tour mind for a special journey into sound!

Music for the open minded! SO WHAT? M Cafe’s Thursday night presented by M Sessions & Belvedere

Miss Badkiss , a versatile DJ who has been part of M Cafe from the very beginning, has toured the world on the ground, playing major festivals and gigs in nightlife hotspots and on the airwaves, contributing mixes for the most influential international radioshows.

I keep on forgetting to post on the regular but I keep running out of interesting shit to post about. Anyways. Last week couple of the homeys that I grew up idolising were in town. The homey Shortkut hit me up before he got here and told me about the event.. it was basically ISP, Tripple Threat DJ’s, 5th Platoon, and Beat Junkies at the same dinner… fresh shit…

Happy Bday Apollo!

Adidas Together with Breathe & Stop Ruled Manila with “Laced Up” Tour 2012

The brand with 3 stripes threw another epic region-wide party with 3 legendary DJs

Heavy Boogie & adidas Originals did it again!

After the wildly successful Breathe & Stop Tour, the first region-wide tour of its calibre, last August 2012, November met 3 more legendary Hip Hop DJs that took down the dance floors across 6 iconic cities in South East Asia.

This dynamic event series continues on in the tradition of the groundbreaking Breathe & Stop events by integrating dance, music & the audience in a celebration of originality & passion.

The “Laced Up” Tour featured 3 of the World’s most critically acclaimed party rockers DJs Apollo (Invisibl Skratch Piklz / Triple Threat Djs / SF), Vinroc (5th Platoon / Triple Threat Djs / SF) & Tony Touch (Rocksteady Crew /NYC) in Singapore last November 15th, Kuala Lumpur 16th,  Saigon 17th, Manila 22nd, Jakarta 23rd & Bangkok 24th of November.

Armed & ready with a diverse selection of quality Hip Hop, Soul, Funk, House, Reggae, & everything in between, these are three of the most skilled, well-rounded purveyors of quality music on the planet who have come together for the adidas Originals “Laced Up” Tour.

They amazed audiences with blistering World Champion level technical skills & unparalleled musicality in their first ever tour of Asia together.=

The tour also featured the Breathe & Stop Champion dance crew from each region in an exclusive showcase performance.

For the first time, the Breathe & Stop Cypher One battle witnessed 15 of the best dancers in each city battle it out till one winner reigns supreme demonstrating their flavor, musicality, style, stamina & skillfulness over at least 3 different genres of music.

Along with the Heavy Boogie crew, top local talent from around the region as well as breathtaking live visuals from Scratch Media created a nonstop party rocking extravaganza.

The Manila party was held in Time Club, Makati Avenue, Makati City.

Unite & Conquer!

I’m really late on this… but hey… better late then never…

So last week my friend Jenny hit me up to go check out the G-Star Raw launch in Manila. Actually it was at High Street Extension in Fort Bonifacio. I remember encountering G-Star back in the the day about 2001 on my trip to Germany. At first I though it was a line developed by Gang Starr, but it wasn’t boy was I wrong. It was a bunch of douchey dudes wearing the shit and it looked like another Diesel/Von Dutch type line.

But they sure have stepped up their game in Asia. The shit looks way better than their European counterparts. I like the vintage look they are doing, and the ads look pretty cool.. plus the brand ambassador’s here are really cool folks.

I met one of the head dudes from Singapore, he was pretty rad and the Zombettes killed it all night. Sanya was super cool introducing me to everyone which is rad cuz one of the Philippines marketing people blew me off which really didnt surprise me… but I digress… Over all a cool sosyal filled night. Check the shit out

Super Classy… They got they own napkins… Thats a napkin, not a tissue. Get it right…

Thanks for the invite Jenny, good seeing you again… Boom Boom Pow!

So this past week was kinda slow on the partying… Ive been stuck watching cement dry for the past few days… Last Tuesday tho, I was able to skip out on some sesponsibility and kick it with some of the most beautifulest women in Manila for the home girl Ginger Conejero’s Bday. Reens, Krystle, Thea (BIA BIA) and Anikka all rolled through for what started out as a quiet night. I left the party a little early and ended up on some bender that had me walking around aimlessly on Burgos at 8am… I need to stop doing that. The girls had a wild night of their own… so I heard…

This is my crew of home girls… They kick ass

I had to fuck with the fish

Anikka tried to steal a house on a bike

Why would you put this in front of your restaurant?

Native Tongue and Beat Junkies connect! The homey Shortkut of the legendary Beat Junkies and ISP crew is gonna be rocking somewhere in Manila with  Hip Hop Gods Maseo from the De La and Ali Shaheed from A Tribe Called Quest. Definitely don’t miss this shit! Add the official page for the event https://www.facebook.com/BreatheAndStop

Heavy Boogie productions, in collaboration with Singapore’s Matteblacc collective, will rock Singapore this August with The Breathe and Stop tour, presented by adidas Originals.

For the first time ever, three of Hip Hop’s most influential DJs – Ali Shaheed Muhammad (A Tribe Called Quest/Lucy Pearl), Shortkut (ISP/Beat Junkies/Triple Threat), and Maseo (De La Soul) will bring the house down.

I was cleaning out my laptop today and I ran across some cool photos from back in 2007′s CMJ conference in NYC. This was the Ed Banger and Fool’s Gold label showcase and I was running around back stage with the homeys. At that time I was living the social network… literally. My company, imeem.com was one of the hottest properties on the internet and was in fact the fastest growing website in 2007! We were on Newsweek! haha. Anyways.. it was cool to see these photos from back in the day… The line up of the party was ridiculous. Justice, Mehdi (RIP), A-Trak, Busy P, and many more…

Trying to be more positive so taking it back to a happy time! Enjoy!

A-Trak, Trackademicks,and PJ (Cool Kids)

She was Skrillex before Skrillex!

I wasnt going to write anything negative, but since ive been a raging asshole lately why not close it out with this post.

So I has just gotten back from playing in Thailand where my hosts were super fuckin awesome! I rush back to the Philippines to play 2 gigs… one was cancelled on me for a San Mig event, the other one was a favor for a friend.. Long story short, I cut my vacation short to help a friend out and to get a gig cancelled on me.

So that bullshit aside, I wont get into specifics, but promoters… please listen to what a DJ plays before you book them. Im not a fuckin juke box and if you treat me that way IM GONNA SHIT ON YOU, YOU FUCK! If you never book me again I could care less about your bullshit of a talent fee, I dont do this to make money because what DJ’s get paid in the Philippines is a travesty… I do this cuz its fun and I love it.

Alright, im done bitching… now back to the party!

This is one hell of a band! One of my favorites in the world, if you havent heard them please check out the Flippin Soul Stompers!

My awesome cuzzo MC! Thanks for all the support!

May is so fucking cool!

Shauna on the left is one of my fav people in Manila!
